Project 365/119 New Special Edition Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish has always been a firm favourite of mine so it was a pleasure to try out the new Rose & Lavender Special Edition. From every special edition Cleanse & Polish sold, £2 of your money will go towards supporting The Prince's Trust's vital work.

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. Giving young people practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation, The Trust works with 13 to 30 year-olds who have faced difficulties, empowering them to fulfil their potential.

I love the smell of the Rose & Lavender, it's calming, relaxing and the scent is not at all overpowering. This for me worked the exact same as the original Cleanse & Polish and left my skin feeling fantastically smooth and soft.I love the new packaging, pink and purple which added that little extra special girly touch. What's even better is that the tube is £150ml compared to the original 100ml so you get a extra 50ml, result.

The New Special Edition Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is £19.75 and is available to buy from Liz Earle Online, their stores and counters of John Lewis

Project 365/118 Groupon Review

I’m sure that many of you are familiar with Groupon but for those of you who aren’t Groupon is a deal of the day website which features discounted deals on a variety of your cities restaurants and stores. Groupon is a free service to join and each day they will send an e-mail announcement to it’s subscribers describing that deal of the day in your chosen area.

A month or so ago I chose a Groupon deal for Sofia’s which is an Italian Restaurant in my local town. The deal was for 2 people to have a two course meal each with coffee, this was excluding any meat or fish dishes. The deal was Monday – Thursday only which I was a little bit miffed that I couldn’t attend on a weekend. However I could understand the reasoning behind this as of course that’s normally a restaurants most busiest time for sales but on the other hand they still were getting a sale and extra business nonetheless. The voucher was valid for around 3 months or so which I felt was a positive plus point.

The booking process was extremely easy, all I had to do was select my deal on the Groupon website, read the terms and conditions, checkout and then Groupon sent me a voucher for the restaurant in which I needed to print out and give to the waiter/waitress when I visited the restaurant. I also had to call the restaurant directly to book a table beforehand.

When arriving at the restaurant we were seated in a small waiting area where we ordered some drinks. A waiter asked if we were using the Groupon voucher and went off to fetch us some tailored written menus. I was a little bit surprised at this, I didn’t think we would be ordering off a tailored menu, I know that no meat or fish dishes were allowed but I still thought that our choices would be off the same menu. This wasn’t a problem for us, as upon looking at the restaurants online menu earlier in the day; the main dishes which we wanted were still on the tailored menu and in a way it was nice to have the different available listed dishes in front of us. For starter my fiancĂ© had minestrone soup and I had homemade pate which was delicious. For mains we both had Spaghetti Bolognese which again was extremely yummy. We ordered a few extra drinks and a side dish, all in all we paid around £15 or so extra for these as these weren’t included in the voucher.

I really enjoyed the meal, the food was yummy and the service was great. The Groupon process was super speedy, accurate and reliable, a 10/10 for Groupon from me and a website which I’ll be definitely using again in future.
