Project 365/13 Stratford upon Avon

Me outside William Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford upon Avon. Me and my bf went there today, the weather was lovely so we had a walk by the river, visited the old town, wandered around the shops and had a lovely lunch. I love the buildings there, lots of history and so pretty.

Project 365/12 Statement Ring

I won this swarovski white crystal statement ring in a competition many years back, i think the retail price back then was around the £60 mark. I love it, it's definitely one of my favourite pieces of jewellery, it's had lots of wear and it still looks as new as the day i received it.

Project 365/10 Femfresh

I was recently sent some Femfresh products to test:

* Femfresh Triple Action Moisturising Wash
* Femfresh Daily Intimate Wash
* Femfresh Triple Action Deodorising Wash
* Femfresh Triple Action Soothing Wash
* Femfresh Intimate Hygiene Freshness Wipes

I've tested the products and i think they're all fabulous. The wipes are handy to fit discreetly into your handbag and would be perfect for all the festival goers out there or even on just a day to day basis to freshen up during the day. The washes are moisturising, soothing, build up a good lather and leave you feeling extremely clean and refreshed throughout the day. Infact i much prefer these washes to my current ones which i'm using at the moment.

All of the products are available at Boots.

Project 365/9 Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair

I love eye care products and over the years i've tried many different eye creams/gels from higher to lower end brands. A few months back i got the Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair, i bought the 10ml tube which is priced at £13.25, although it also comes in a 5ml tube for £6.90.

The triple action cream claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, brighten dark under-eye shadows whilst the SPF10 mineral sunscreen helps protect the delicate area from UV light. After consistently using the product for a few months i can definitely see an improvement with the dark shadows underneath my eyes. After dabbing the cream on my eye area which instantly feels very cool and refreshing, i notice that my shadows disappear within 20 minutes or so, a must have for a night owl as myself.

I haven't got any fine lines so i can't comment about that as yet but i'm all for protect and prevention, therefore the SPF10 is a huge plus point for me. I can honestly say that it's the best eye care product i've used as yet and will continue to do so.

You can buy the product here or from a Liz Earle counter/store.

Project 365/8 Baking Cakes

Me and my little sister made some carrot cakes this afternoon. I didn't put much icing on as i find too much of it quite sickly. Don't be deceived by their appearance, they tasted yummy!!

Project 365/7 Lush Mask Of Magnaminty

I love a good face mask and for years now Lush's Mask of Magnaminty as been top of my list. The product smells deliciously minty and fresh, it's extremely gritty but never too harsh upon my skin. After using this my skin feels tighter, more refreshed, bright and very clean. I buy the small tub of 125g which is £4.75. I have combination skin and this sorts it out a treat.

Project 365/6 Michael Kors

My new Michael Kors Mother-of-Pearl and Crystal Dot Gold Watch arrived this morning and i absolutely love it! I've been wanting one for ages so for the price i paid for it, it would have been extremely rude to refuse ;). I have quite skinny wrists so had to have a few links taken out but it now fits perfectly.

Project 365/5 MAC Semi Precious Mineralize Skinfinish

Whilst at the MAC counter in Selfridges on Saturday i bought the Pearl Semi Precious Mineralize Skinfinish for £20.50.

The product feels so luxurious upon the skin and really suits my fair complexion. I use the lighter outer area for highlights and the inner more colourful area as a blush. It does give quite a lot of shimmer, which you can see in my above photo, although if blended well i find it gives a more dewy effect.

It's definitely one of my new favourite MAC products.

Project 365/2 MAC 150 Powder Brush

I went shopping yesterday and picked up a few things so expect a lot of haul type project posts in the next few days or so.

I needed a new Powder brush as i had lost my previous MAC one (please don't tell me i'm the only one that does this) and my current No7 one just wasn't cutting it, the bristles became so dry and wiry after a while that it was actually physically hurting my face, ouch. I opted for the 150 MAC large powder brush, it was quite expensive at £32.50 but the quality is amazing and i can really tell the difference to that of a drugstore brush.

I mainly use the brush for the applicaton of loose/pressed powder and it applies beautifully, the bristles are so, so fluffy and soft, definitely worth the £32.50 price tag.

I love good quality, pretty wrapping paper so i couldn't resist the above desserts print wrap from Marks & Spencer to wrap my youngest sister's birthday present for next week. I won't tell you what's inside just in case she's reading this but it's something she's wanted for a few months now, infact i quite want it for myself.....

Change of direction

Hello ladies, i hope you're all looking forward to the weekend? Do you have any plans? I'm off out for lunch/shopping tomorrow with the bestie so that should be fun, nothing better than a girlie catch up. I also really want to go and see the new Harry Potter movie so i may do that in the evening if we have time, then i'm out with my bf on Sunday.

As you can see from my blog title i've decided to do something a little different with my blog, i'm sure the majority of you have heard of the Project 365 challenge? Each time i do a blog post i'm going to also include a picture, this can be random post or a product review, outfit of the day, haul, monthly favourites etc, whatever springs to mind really, none of my contents going to change, it;s still going to be the same kind of posts as before but hopefully this will get me posting a little more.

The aim is to do at least a post a day or it could be every few days or so; whenever i have the time. I bought a new SLR camera a few months ago (I got the Nikon D3100) and i wasn't getting as much use out of it as i should of so figured this would be a good place to start.

Quite looking forward to the new challenge :).

June Favourites

Hello ladies, i hope you're all well. It's that time of the month again to post my monthly favourites. This month it's a mixture of Make-up and Skincare products.

1) Soap & Glory Glow Getter:

This as quickly became one of my favourite fake tans. Glow Getter is a powder spray which can be applied to the face and body so no faffing around with different products, it's all there in the one product. The spray goes on easily, simple to apply and gives a amazing, natural airbrush finish, i love it.

2) No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser, Fair:

I tend not to use foundation as it feels too heavy upon my skin so i use a tinted moisturiser as an alternative. I've had the No7 Tinted Moisturiser in Fair for a couple of months now and i really, really rate it. It applies easily to the skin, as shown below:

Blends beautifully into a lovely sheer colour:

What's best is that the moisturiser contains a UVB 15 SPF so you can ensure you're well protected. I love this, long lasting, great colour for me and it suits all skin types.

3) Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream:

I bought this in the Limited Edition Jar. I really rate the packaging and prefer it much better than the original squeezy tube. The Jar is made of sheer glass so you can see exactly how much of the product remains:

The product is a all purpose balm the main aim being to protect and heal chapped skin. It soothes, restores, calms and help relieve chapped, cracked, dry skin. It also soothes roughness, redness and minor skin irritations. Soothes minor skin irritations. It's also used for symptoms of chapping, peeling or flaking due to minor burns, sunburn, windburn, scrapes, abrasion or cracked lips. As it's a balm the texture is quite thick and gloopy in consistency:

The smell isn't so great it's a little overpowering and as i mainly use it on my lips the smell isn't too daunting, it's the only product which is the most moisturising for my lips. A skincare essential.

4) Barry M Bold Black Waterproof Eyeliner:

I love this eyeliner, it's one of the blackest eyeliners i've ever used, check out the shade:

It applies smoothly, long lasting and stays put on my eyes for at least 8 hours, and best of all  it's waterproof. A total steal at just £3.99.

5) St Moriz Self Tan Mousse:

I've tried many different fake tans but St Moriz is definitely up there in my top 3. You may see above that i have two different shades, the standard one gives me a subtle glow but if i want a more noticeable tan and deeper colour then i always apply the dark version, perfect for a night out. The tan is really easy to apply, no streaks and gives me a even tan, the smell isn't too bad either. For just £3.00 this one is a must buy.

I hope you enjoyed this months post, what do you think of the bigger style pictures, yay or nay? Would love to hear your feedback.
