The Body Shop Coconut Body Scrub Review

Product: Coconut Body Scrub

From: The Body Shop

Price: 200ml for £12.50 but you can also buy the 50ml for £5.00.

What they say:
Coconut oil - Is easily absorbed into the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth. Moisturises the skin.

Coconut husk and ground coconut shells - Gently exfoliate the skin

Marula Oil - Is a very effective moisturiser that also helps to condition the skin over time. Provides essential fatty acids that help to repair the skin's moisture barrier, thus helping to restore moisture, smoothness and suppleness.

My thoughts: I bought the Coconut Body Scrub as part of The Body Shops promotional offer in which you could buy a full size scrub and body butter or two of either of the products for £15.00. The first thing i noticed about the product was the lush lingering coconut smell and how pleasant the texture of the scrub felt on my skin, quite gritty yet without it feeling too harsh.

Whilst in the shower i applied the scrub all over my body whilst massaging it in circular movements, this of course helps remove dead skin cells whilst boosting circulation. Once done I rinsed off to reveal silky and smooth skin. When dried I moisturised with The Body Shops Body Butter (I used Cocoa on this occasion) which left my skin feeling and smelling amazing. For best results i do this at least twice weekly.

Product Rating: 10/10

Aussie Miracle Moist Tribe Party

As mentioned in my previous post i was invited as an honorary angel to the Aussie Miracle Moist Tribe Party in Birmingham on Saturday evening. My sister (Carly from Cheated Hearts) was also invited and i was allowed to take a guest so my friend Samantha came along with us too.

Upon arrival at the venue we were greeted by Emma from Aussie who made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable and introduced us to a few of the other girls.

Us enjoying cocktails whilst chatting amongst ourselves:

Afterwards we were given a welcome talk by Emma then Amber and Zara the two stylists gave a talk and answered any questions for us about the care of our hair and also gave us a demonstration on two of the girls hair.

Emma from Aussie giving us our talk:

The two stylists Zara and Amber:

During the demo:

The two stylists were on hand all evening creating different looks for our hair, here's me having my hair styled by Amber into loose curls to give that tousled effect. Amber was really lovely, gave great tips and i was very pleased when she commented and gave me a nice compliment about the condition and overall look of my hair, thanks Amber :):

Me chatting to Michelle from Aussie whilst having my hair styled:

Loving my curls:

Sam's "Up do":

Beautiful:

We then had a cocktail lesson, two teams were created; Team 1 (my team) and Team 2. The two teams competed against one another to see who had the best tasting cocktail, mine was *ahem* interesting to say the least ;).

Team 1 behind the bar:

Me and Winnie:(check out the concentration on my face hehe)

Giggling at our cocktail attempt:

Sampling the finished products whilst taking a break to have something to eat from the yummy buffet ;):

Miracle Moist Hair Tip Box. Aussie are putting together a book full of hair tips to be released later in the year, any tips which we had we wrote down and put them into the box:

And last but not least, the goodie bag from Aussie:

My goodie bag contained a rubber duck, small handheld Mirror, cute stud earrings, choccies and Aussie Dual Personality Smooth & Shine Milk and Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave in Conditioner.

I've already started using the leave in conditioner and i LOVE it, it contains Australian jojoba seed oil which helps detangle and protect the hair and makes hair styling easier. Best of all you don't need to wash it out and it leaves your hair smelling lush throughout the day. A definite recommendation from me and a product which i will continue to use and purchase.

As you can see from the pictures i had a really enjoyable and fun evening, many thanks to Emma from Aussie and the rest of the team for the invite, i had a fab time!!

A few bits ordered from Topshop:

Cream Crochet Tunic:

Navy Crochet Detail Top (i have a few of these in different colours, love the fit):

Gold Flat Sandals:

Hello everyone, i hope you've all had a nice weekend and enjoyed the sunshine. So onto my buys of the week:

Pandora Charm Bracelet:

I LOVE this, to start it off i bought an angel charm. I'm planning on buying a few spacers/beads but shall leave it like that as i prefer the bracelet looking just partially full. I wore it with my links of london sweetie bracelet, which looks really well together.

The Bodyshop Coconut Scrub and Cocoa Body Butter:

As many of my regular readers already know i'm a huge fan of The Bodyshop body butters and can't recommend them enough. It's the first time i've tried out the scrub and it's AMAZING!! My skin felt so silky and smooth afterwards, especially using the two products straight after one another. Does anyone else use both/either of these products?

I also got invited as an honorary angel to the Aussie Miracle Moist Tribute party in Bham last night, which was FAB, keep yourt eyes peeled for a post about the party over the next couple of days.

Sex and the City 2

Hello everyone, hope you've all had a nice weekend. I went to see the SATC movie on Saturday night, it was okay, watchable and of course being a fan of the characters made it easier to follow. Although i definitely preferred the first movie so was a bit disappointed that it didn't quite live up to the hype.

For those of you who have watched it, did you enjoy it? What are your thoughts?
